Constructed with the advanced X-PRO Carbon shell, the helmet utilizes aerospace engineering and premium 3K carbon fiber to create a shell that is lighter, stronger, and more comfortable than conventional composite helmets. Weighing approximately 3.0 lbs (+/- 0.1 lb), the X.R3R Apex provides exceptional protection while minimizing rider fatigue.
 
For superior visibility, the helmet includes both Clear and Dark Smoke shields along with a Pinlock 120XLT Racing Anti-Fog lens. The advanced X-Sensus Vision system offers an impressive 225-degree horizontal field of view and an 85-degree vertical field of view through an anti-scratch PC Lexan visor with Optical Class 1 eye protection. The visor is also tear-off ready and features the Visor Recoil System for an airtight seal and enhanced weather protection.
 
Ventilation is optimized with six air intakes and four exhaust outlets, ensuring a constant flow of fresh air throughout the helmet. The innovative crown pad incorporates a special alveolar mesh that creates an air circulation chamber between the EPS liner and the padding, keeping riders cool even during demanding rides. The adjustable Chin Speed-Flow Ventilation System further enhances airflow by directing fresh air across the face and visor area.
 
The Adaptive Crown Fit System allows riders to fine-tune the interior fit for a personalized 360-degree feel that eliminates pressure points and enhances comfort. Additional features include adjustable cheek pads, the Emergency Strap System V2 for quick helmet removal by emergency personnel, and the X-LOCK magnetic fastening system paired with a MotoGP-style double D-ring closure.
 
Designed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency, the removable race-style rear spoiler improves high-speed stability and helps achieve virtually zero dynamic weight at 100 mph (160 km/h). Advanced soundproofing technologies, including double rubber visor seals and chin-area vortex generators, further enhance rider comfort by reducing wind noise and aerodynamic drag.
