Does Nexx Offer a Helmet Warranty?

Yes. Every new Nexx helmet purchased from an authorized dealer includes a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner.

If your helmet develops a manufacturing defect during the warranty period, Nexx North America may repair or replace the helmet or the affected components after evaluating the claim.

Understanding what the warranty covers—and what it doesn't—can help you know what to expect should you ever need assistance.

How Long Is the Nexx Helmet Warranty?

Nexx provides a two-year limited warranty beginning on the original purchase date.

The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and requires proof of purchase from an authorized Nexx dealer.

Although the warranty lasts for two years from purchase, Nexx also states that warranty coverage is valid no longer than five years from the helmet's manufacturing date.

What Does the Nexx Warranty Cover?

The warranty is intended to protect riders against manufacturing defects and material defects.

If Nexx North America determines that your helmet qualifies under the warranty, they may:

  • Repair the helmet

  • Replace damaged helmet components

  • Replace the helmet with the same or a comparable current model if repair is not technically possible

All warranty claims are evaluated by Nexx North America before approval.

How Do You Submit a Warranty Claim?

If you believe your helmet has a manufacturing defect, the process begins with the authorized Nexx dealer where the helmet was originally purchased.

Typically, you'll need:

  • Your original proof of purchase

  • A completed warranty claim form

  • The helmet returned through the dealer for inspection

Once received, Nexx North America evaluates the claim. According to its published policy, warranty evaluations generally have a maximum processing time of 15 days after the helmet arrives at its facility.

What Is Not Covered Under Warranty?

Like most motorcycle helmet manufacturers, Nexx's warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal use, accidents, or improper care.

Examples of situations that are not covered include:

  • Crash or impact damage

  • Helmets involved in a fall or accident

  • Road debris or impact damage

  • Normal wear of interior liners

  • Scratches or cosmetic wear

  • Damage caused by non-Nexx accessories, adhesives, paint, or modifications

  • Improper fit or sizing issues

  • Chemical damage

  • Heat damage

  • Water immersion

  • Damage caused by inadequate maintenance

  • Fading from prolonged UV exposure

  • Helmets missing their certification label

Comfort preferences, wind noise, aerodynamic characteristics, and similar subjective concerns are also not considered manufacturing defects under the warranty policy.

Can You Return a Nexx Helmet?

Nexx North America does not operate a product rotation or exchange program.

Returns are generally accepted only for approved manufacturing defects.

Any warranty return must first receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from Nexx North America before being shipped.

Returns sent without prior authorization may be rejected.

How Often Should You Replace a Nexx Helmet?

Even if a helmet has never been involved in a crash, Nexx recommends replacing it approximately every five years.

Over time, materials such as foam, adhesives, resins, and interior fabrics naturally deteriorate through age, use, perspiration, cosmetics, hair products, ultraviolet exposure, and environmental conditions.

Nexx also recommends replacing any helmet that has experienced a significant impact, even if no visible damage is present.

Buying From an Authorized Dealer Matters

Because warranty claims require proof of purchase and are handled through authorized dealers, purchasing from an authorized Nexx retailer helps ensure you have access to warranty support if needed.

Retaining your purchase receipt is recommended throughout the warranty period.

Final Thoughts

Nexx backs its helmets with a 2-year limited manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner. While normal wear, crash damage, improper modifications, and cosmetic aging are excluded, riders can have confidence knowing that genuine manufacturing issues are reviewed directly by Nexx North America.

As with any motorcycle helmet, proper fit, regular inspection, and replacing the helmet after a significant impact are important steps in maintaining the highest level of rider safety.
